Theme: “The testimony of the Christian in a perverse world
Text: 1 Peter 3:15-17

15. But sanctify Christ the Lord in your hearts, always being ready to defend yourselves, with meekness and respect, before anyone who asks you the reason for the hope that is in you, 16. and having a good conscience, so that even there where they slander you as if you were evildoers, those who decry your good conduct in Christ be put to shame. 17. For it is better to suffer, if it be the will of God, for doing good than for doing evil.

Let's remember:

The essential thing in the Christian's life is to be conformed to the will of God. Every Christian must keep himself holy by relying on strength from God. If our testimony receives the approval of God, the slander of humans cannot shake us. Indeed, humans like to decry the conduct of Christians. Sometimes detractors are people with whom we share faith. Sometimes it’s our own surroundings. Failing to ignore them, we must show them our love without hypocrisy. There is no point arguing with our slanderers despite the outrages they inflict on us. While the devil's workers insult us, for our part, let us sanctify Christ the Lord in our hearts, always being ready to defend ourselves, with meekness and respect, before anyone who offends us, before anyone who accuses us, before anyone who asks a reason for the hope that is in us. The devil likes to mire us in vain arguments. He wants to portray our wonderful testimony in order to discredit us. Then, it is always he who will accuse us before God. Let us conduct ourselves in the best possible manner so that evil tongues may be confused. Shame on those who want to degrade us when we are only doing God's will. Downside, some of the criticisms we receive may be well-founded if we are really the authors of these accusations. Therefore, let us take care of our conduct by aligning it with the word of God. Have a great Saturday. Amen
