Theme: "The Seduction of the End Times"
Text: Matthew 24:11-13
11. Many false prophets will arise and deceive many. 12. And because lawlessness will have increased, the love of many will grow cold. 13. But he who endures to the end will be saved.
Remember:
The seduction of the end times requires increased perseverance of faith in order not to fall into the trap. We notice the appearance of several false prophets, and they deceive many people. When we speak of false prophets, this does not mean that they will often say false or lying things. There are some who give right messages but they do not belong to the sheepfold of Jesus. They are wolves in lambskin. They have the ability to transform themselves into angels of light in order to seduce, if necessary, even the elect. Another category of false prophets is made up of magicians, marabouts, soothsayers, fetish priests and other fortune tellers. They come to seduce the people of God with messages that go against the Word of God. However, each prophecy must be in accordance with the Word of God, it must have a biblical basis. It is our responsibility to watch and pray so as not to fall into temptation. Here again, our discernment must act; if necessary, the false prophets will fool us into the seduction of the last times. We notice that iniquity has increased, the charity of the majority is growing cold. Many people abandon the path of salvation to follow the pleasures of this century because of the seduction of the last times. Faith becomes evasive and faltering. The Church has become a den of false prophets. God is good, he lets it happen; at the harvest he will separate the tares from the good grass. As for us, let us persevere to the end to be saved.
