Theme: “The Holy Spirit: his mission in the Church and society”
Text: Romans 8:14-16

14. for  those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. 15. And ye have not received the spirit of bondage, that ye should still fear; but you have received a Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry: Abba! Father! 16. The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.

Let's remember:

The Holy Spirit: his mission in the Church and society is to lead us. Our life, the Church, our society are like a car of which the Holy Spirit remains the ultimate driver. All who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. If we are led by our intellect, we are not children of God. A son takes instructions from his father or mother. The Spirit of the Father must have control of our society, our lives and the Church. A dysfunctional society is beyond the control of the Spirit of God. The current tragedy is that humans have taken control of the Church of God. They are leading the Church towards the abyss, fortunately God has chosen men of integrity who do not flinch. God has endowed us with a Spirit of obedience (to God) to keep us from being in bondage to the devil. It is a Spirit of adoption who teaches us to say Abba! Father. Let us come out of fear and go to God so that his Spirit may adopt us as legitimate children and lead us. Let us allow the Holy Spirit to do his mission to lead God's children. The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God. Let us entrust society to the grace of God so that the Holy Spirit will lead it with confidence. His dexterity cannot plunge society into turmoil as the currently visible predictions are. The same is true for the Church, the body of Christ. Excellent Friday and good start to the weekend. Amen
