Theme: “Two paths, two destinies: choose the right one”
Text: Matthew 7:24-27
24. Therefore whoever hears these words of mine and does them will be like a prudent man who built his house on the rock. 25. The rain fell, the floods came, the winds blew and beat against this house: it did not fall, because it was founded on the rock. 26. But whoever hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. 27. The rain fell, the floods came, the winds blew and beat that house: it fell, and its ruin was great.
Let's remember:
Our choice will fight against the vagaries of life. Victory or defeat depends on this choice. A bad choice is quickly brushed aside for a circumstance that is perhaps unforeseen at the time we are making this choice. There are choices we make that endure the whips of life without weakening or breaking. Many years later, this choice is still good despite the days, weeks, months and years of resisting the struggles of life. This is why we must take time to make a lasting, if not eternal, choice. Jesus Christ is a choice that must challenge more than one of us. Whoever chooses to travel with Him will never be disappointed because He is the ideal solution to bad weather, even to the most atrocious hazards. Jesus Christ resists every fight, and we, after Him. Jesus Christ is the most durable material, the eternal material that never rusts, never fades, never squeaks, never melts, never dissolves, never evaporates, never breaks, who never breaks in short Jesus is the most excellent choice that no one can regret even after death. Choosing Jesus is building on rock and nothing and no one can defeat or shake him. Let us rejoice in having chosen Jesus but also in having been chosen by Him. Let us make each choice with Jesus so that the winds and other bad weather do not overcome us. I would have liked Jesus to be an insurance company, the whole world would have taken him to be the general insurer because he insures and reassures. Excellent Sunday. Amen Alain Louz.-
