Theme: “Two paths, two destinies: choose the right one”
Text: Proverbs 2:11-22
11. Thought will watch over you, understanding will guard you, 12. To deliver you from the way of evil, from the man who speaks perverse words, 13. From those who forsake the paths of righteousness, to walk in dark paths, 14. Who find pleasure in doing evil, Who delight in perverseness, 15. Who follow crooked paths, And who take crooked roads; 16. To deliver you from the strange woman, From the stranger who uses sweet words, 17. Who abandons the friend of his youth, And who forgets the covenant of his God; 18. For her house leans toward death, and her way leads among the dead: 19. None of those who come to her returns, And finds the paths of life. 20. Thus you will walk in the way of the good, you will keep the paths of the righteous. 21. For the upright will dwell in the land, the blameless will remain there; 22. But the wicked will be cut off from the land, and the unbelievers will be uprooted from it.
Let's remember:
Because of the duality of life, let us force ourselves to have choices informed by intelligence, wisdom, reflection, but the best choice must be enlightened by the Word of God. Faced with two paths, we must take the time to carefully observe which one we should take in order to arrive at our destiny. We waste several years making outlines before arriving at the right place; because the choice of the right path was missed. The children of Israel had made bad choices that cost them forty years wandering in the desert. This is why, let us put the Lord God in our choices so that he helps us by means of the Holy Spirit to make good reflections and that our intelligence is never obscured. This is how we will be delivered from the way of evil and from the man who speaks perverse things. If our path and our destiny are not illuminated by the Word of God, we will walk dark paths. Let us not be among those who find pleasure in doing evil and who find pleasure in perversity. God does not call us to such a destiny. The Lord does not want us to be among those who follow crooked paths, and who take crooked roads. In the light of the Word of God, we will walk without flinching because our feet will follow the right path in order to achieve our destiny. Have a great Monday. Amen
