Theme: “Become aware of your identity in Christ
Text: John 1:12-13

12. But as many as received him, and as many as believed in his name, he gave power to become children of God, who were born, 13. not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Let's remember:

It is because we minimize our true nature in God that we ultimately ignore what we are. We ignore ourselves, although we are a chosen race, a holy nation, a blessed people. Let us therefore become aware of our identity in Christ. To become aware is to realize, to mentally represent in a clear way, what we neglect or ignore. Becoming aware is synonymous with: becoming aware, understanding, observing, discovering, noting, observing, remarking, realizing, grasping, seeing. As for identity, it is what allows us to recognize a person among all the others, like civil status. Identity is the permanent and fundamental character of someone, of a group, which makes up their individuality, their singularity. It is therefore the individual's ability to recognize themselves in their words and actions that allows them to establish their own identity, distinct from that of others. There are three levels of identities: the individual, the group and the community. When we received Christ and believed in His Name, we took on a new and noble identity as children of God. We are princes because God our Father is a King. It is our Father who remains in control of life. We are the children of the owner of the universe. We are therefore heirs. We are the private property of the Lord God. He is holy, let us also be holy. He is love, let us have love. So it begins with the new birth. Have a great Monday. Amen
