Theme : " Do not conform to the present century "
Text : Ephesians 5: 10-17
10. Examine what is pleasing to the Lord; 11. and do not take part in the fruitless works of darkness, but rather condemn them. 12. For it is shameful to say what they do in secret; 13. But whatever is condemned is manifested by light, for all that is manifested is light. 14. Therefore it is said, Awake, you who sleep, Rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you. 15. Take heed therefore not to conduct yourselves with circumspection, not like fools, but like wise men; 16. Redeem the time, for the days are bad. 17. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
Let us remember :
This century is filled with many things which are not pleasing to the Lord God. We must examine those which are pleasing to Him in order to practice them. Whenever we do what is not pleasing to Him; we participate in the fruitless works of darkness. Rather, God calls us to condemn anything that is not worthy of our faith. Every vile, shameful, secret work; that cannot be made or confessed publicly should be excluded from our registry. What is bad must be illuminated by the Word of God and prayer in order to cast out the works of darkness. Let us not fondle sin; you have to run away from it. Sometimes we live in sin saying to ourselves "God understands me; He knows that it is not easy". This defeatist attitude is an excuse that God rejects because He who lacks strength must ask God for it; and he must then let himself be led by the Holy Spirit to do the will of God. If so, God will lay bare all these works of darkness. Let everyone wake up. Excellent Sunday. Amen Alain Louz.-
