Theme : " The unalterable love of God for man in distress " Text : Isaiah 9: 1-6
1. But darkness will not always reign On the earth where there are now anguish: If the past times have covered with reproach The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, The times to come will cover with glory The neighboring land of the sea beyond the Jordan, The land of the Gentiles. 2. The people who walked in darkness See a great light; On those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death A light shines. 3. You make the people numerous, You grant them great joy; He rejoices before you, as one rejoices in the harvest, as one utters cries of joy at the division of the spoil. 4. For the yoke that weighed on him, the staff that struck his back, the rod of him that oppressed him, you break them, as in the day of Midian. 5. For every shoe that is worn in the melee, and every warlike garment rolled up in blood, will be given up to flames, to be devoured by fire. 6. For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government shall be upon his shoulder; He will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.
Let us remember :
The love of God is unalterable. It does not depend on our faith. The love of God remains available to all people and all nations. Distress may be the way to go to cross to the other side. In distress, God forges and sharpens us to become sharp in the face of sin. Distress is a school that trains us to abandon satanic compromises. When training ends, God opens the doors to rejoicing, salvation, blessings in Christ for us. This is why in distress, let us hold on because it is the Christian course. When God rings his bell, the yoke of distress is broken. Distress must strengthen us in order to come out of it fulfilled and educated. Dominance rests on Jesus and not on distress. Excellent Sunday.
