Theme : " The unalterable love of God for man in distress " Text : Matthew 8: 14-17

14. Jesus then went to Peter's house, where he saw the mother-in-law lying down with a fever. 15. He touched her hand, and the fever left it; then she rose and served him. 16. In the evening several demoniacs were brought to Jesus. He cast out the spirits with his word, and he healed all the sick,! 17. so that that which was announced by Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled: He took our infirmities, and he took care of our diseases.

Let us remember :

Our life is shaken by various illnesses that dampen our zeal to serve God. The flesh needs good health in order to vigorously follow Jesus our Lord and Savior. The spiritual too must be in good health in order to do God's will and be pleasing to him. We are in distress when we are suffering in our flesh and / or in the torments of sin. We need Jesus' help to lay his hand on us. He always comes to the aid of our distress. Let us also talk about Jesus to all those who are in distress; let us pray for them. Out of compassion, Jesus delivers us by taking our distress so that he takes care of it for us; and may we have the joy of praising him. Excellent Thursday. Amen Alain Louz.-
