Theme : " The Rapture of the Church at the Return of Christ "
Text : Matthew 25:1-13
1. Then the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who, having taken their lamps, went to meet the bridegroom. 2. Five of them were foolish, and five wise. 3. The foolish, taking their lamps, took no oil with them; 4. But the wise took oil in vessels with their lamps. 5. As the bridegroom tarried, they all dozed off and fell asleep. 6. In the middle of the night, they cried out: Behold the bridegroom, go to meet him! 7. Then all these virgins awoke, and trimmed their lamps. 8. The foolish said to the wise: Give us of your oil, for our lamps are going out. 9. The wise answered: No; there would not be enough for us and for you; rather go to those who sell it, and buy it for yourself. 10. While they were going to buy some, the bridegroom arrived; those who were ready entered with him into the wedding hall, and the door was closed. 11. Later the other virgins came, and said, Lord, Lord, open to us. 12. But he answered, Truly I tell you, I do not know you. 13. Watch therefore, since you know neither the day nor the hour.
Let's remember:
While waiting for the return of Jesus Christ, we must avoid combining natural sleep with spiritual sleep. It is normal to sleep a natural sleep, knowing that at the return of Jesus, nothing will prevent us from returning to the nuptials with Him. But those who sleep a spiritual sleep will not enter with Him for they will have no more time to repent; his arrival will be too abrupt. This is why, let us have at all times our oil which constitutes faith, good works, sanctification, a Holy Spirit well disposed to lead us. Churches that do not have a Christian life and without oil will not be enough to help their faithful to enter the marriage because they will not have taught sanctification and eternal salvation. Let us renew our oil at all times by reading and practicing the Word of God. Let the Spirit of God lead us; and we will not forget to provide our lamp and our oil wherever we will be since no one knows either the day or the hour of the arrival of the bridegroom. Let's accept Christ now so we don't cry out behind the closed door. Excellent forecast Monday. Amen Alain Louz.-
