The life of Daniel: what lessons for us?

Saturday September 4, 2021

Theme : “ The life of Daniel: what lessons for us? " Text : Daniel 10: 15-19

15. As he spoke these words to me, I looked down to the earth, and kept silent. 16. And behold, someone who looked like the sons of men touched my lips. I opened my mouth and spoke and said to him who stood before me, My lord, the vision filled me with dread, and I lost all strength. 17. How could my lord's servant speak to my lord? Now my strength is lacking, and I have no more breath. 18. Then he that looked like a man touched me again, and made me strong. 19. Then he said unto me, Fear not, beloved man, peace be with thee! courage courage! And as he spoke to me, I regained my strength, and I said, Let my lord speak, for you have made me strong.

Let us remember :

Daniel was very disciplined before God. He was silent and let the Lord speak to him. His heart was so willing that God did not stop himself from revealing visions to him. He could not fix the spiritual figure who presented himself before him; preferring to fix his gaze on the ground. Daniel had the humility to recognize his weakness and his fear. Thus, he sought the comfort of God in order to stand on his feet. He knew how to give thanks whenever God gave him strength and courage. He was asking God to keep revealing the hidden things to him. Daniel was an instrument in the hands of God; as such, God could use him to speak to the people. Its legendary availability is an important element that we must not forget. He was always ready and sanctified; these two factors attract God into a life. Excellent Saturday. Amen Alain Louz.-
