Theme : " Renouncing Evil "
Text : Matthew 23:13-15
13. Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because you close the kingdom of heaven to men; you do not enter it yourselves, and you do not let in those who want to enter. 14. Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because you devour the houses of widows, and for the appearance of long prayers; because of this, you will be judged more severely. 15. Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because you run the sea and the land to make a proselyte; and when he has become so, you make him a son of Gehenna twice as much as you.
Let's remember:
We must renounce evil in all its forms. We backslide in faith when we remain in evil. Jesus is strictly opposed to the evil we do. A wrong done to our neighbor can close the door to the kingdom of heaven. Sensitive and unsteady souls become backslidden because of our misconduct. Others copy our way of doing things, believing that it is the norm when it is the open door to hell because the wages of sin is death. Our evil causes the faithful to leave the Church of God. The hypocrisy, cheating and extortion of widows, orphans and other helpless people; are offenses that God will not leave unpunished. Churches are winning souls through media evangelistic campaigns; once they have become members; we indoctrinate them and then we deform them and worse we exclude them. Why bring them to Christ? This proselytism is condemned by Jesus. Excellent Monday. Amen Alain Louz.-
