Theme : " Let us give thanks to the Lord for the year that is ending "
Text : Ephesians 4: 9-14
9. Now, what does “He ascended” mean, except that He also descended into the lower regions of the earth? 10. The same who descended is the same who ascended above all the heavens to fill all things. 11. And he gave some as apostles, some as prophets, some as evangelists, some as pastors and teachers, 12. For the perfecting of the saints for the work of the ministry and the building up of the body. of Christ, 13. until we have all come to the unity of faith and knowledge of the Son of God, made man, to the measure of the perfect stature of Christ, 14 . so that we are no longer children, floating and carried away with every wind of doctrine, by the deception of men, by their cunning in the means of seduction
Let us remember:
Let us give thanks to God that he has come down to the lower regions of the meanness of our life. He was able to come out with gifts and ministries once neglected by our neglect. He resuscitated them by triumphing over our weariness. Let us give thanks for what, during this year, God has perfected us and cut us according to his grace to be vessels of honor. Let us give thanks because this year ending, God dusted off our faith which was starting to deteriorate with this pandemic. God has granted us the unity of faith and knowledge of the Son of God, made man, to the measure of the perfect stature of Christ. Let us give thanks to God who has given us to grow in faith so that we no longer float and be carried away by every wind of doctrine, by the deception of men, by their cunning in the means of seduction.
