Happiness in the teaching of Jesus

Wednesday January 19, 2022

Theme : " Happiness in the teaching of Jesus " Text : Matthew 5:6-7

6. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied! 7. Blessed are the merciful, for they will obtain mercy!

Let's remember:

He who hungers and thirsts for justice is blessed from heaven, he is happy because he is promised eternal beatitude. King Solomon was so thirsty and hungry for righteousness that God had filled him with good days, riches and wisdom. His most ardent desire was to possess immense wisdom to bring justice to his people. As a reward, God had blessed him abundantly as no one had ever been. Mercy consists in exercising compassion, clemency and indulgence towards one's neighbour. It is a pity that urges to relieve the pain of one's neighbour. It's not just about feeling pity; but it is necessary to overflow until finding a solution which will help its next. When Jesus had compassion on someone, he solved the problem that was causing it. This is where happiness is felt; when we are able to find solutions that make our neighbor happy. Excellent Wednesday. Amen Alain Louz.-
