Theme : " Fear the coming judgment "
Text : Ezekiel 18: 30-32
30. Therefore I will judge each of you according to his ways, O house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD. Return and turn away from all your transgressions, so that iniquity does not cause your ruin. 31. Cast away from yourselves all the transgressions by which you have sinned; make yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. Why would you die, house of Israel? 32. For I do not desire the death of him that dies, says the Lord GOD. Convert then, and live.
Let us remember :
The watchword this week is judgment. Let us fear the judgment which is already before the door. God will judge us each according to his ways. Often times we think that hell is other people. Everyone happens to be the saint, the blameless, the Son of God. As for the others, they are bad. Here we are told that judgment is individual according to the measure of our life on earth. Let us return and turn away from all our transgressions, so that iniquity does not cause our ruin. It is time to cast away from us all the transgressions by which we have sinned; may each make a new heart and a new spirit. There is no reason to kill ourselves at this point. Not to turn away from one's evil ways is suicide. The Lord God does not want sin to deprive us of eternal life. So he calls us to conversion and to life. Excellent Sunday. Amen Alain Louz.-
