Theme: "Christ in us, the hope of glory"
Text: Romans 8: 9-11
9. For you, you do not live according to the flesh, but according to the spirit, if at least the Spirit of God dwells in you. If anybody doesn't have the Spirit of Christ, he doesn't belong to him. 10. And if Christ is in you, the body, it is true, is dead because of sin, but the spirit is life because of righteousness. 11. And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.
In addition to this, you will need to know more about it.
Let us remember:
In addition to this, you will need to know more about it. It is wonderful to receive Christ into our life because it is the sine qua non for calling the glory of God in us. One cannot receive Jesus in oneself and then remain empty of the Spirit. Receiving Christ is the consequence of a conviction placed in the heart by his Holy Spirit. It is the Holy Spirit who first convicts of sin, judgment and righteousness. He prepares our hearts to receive Christ. And when Jesus comes into our life, he establishes himself as Chief of the places, in other words Lord because he commands us. Our old life dies to sin and the new life is subject to the resurrection of Jesus who also resurrects ours. It is the resurrection of Jesus that brings our mortal body back to existence. But by being resuscitated, our bodies bring back holy and glorious new life. And this glory does not belong to us because it is related to Christ who lives in us. We only have the noble fallout from that glory. Excellent Friday and good entry into the weekend. Amen
