Theme : " This God who was, who is and who is to come "
Text : Isaiah 42: 5-9
5. Thus saith God the LORD, who created the heavens and spread them out, who spread out the earth and its products, who gave breath to those who inhabit it, and breath to those who walk in it. 6. I, the LORD, have called you for salvation, and will take you by the hand, and will keep you, and will make you a covenant with the people, to be the light of the heathen. To open the eyes of the blind, To bring out the captive from prison, And those who dwell in darkness from their dungeons. 8. I am the Lord, that is my name; And I will not give my glory to another, nor my honor to idols. 9. Behold, the first things have come to pass, and new things I announce to you; Before they arrive, I predict them to you.
Let us remember:
It is God who has total control over lives. He gave us the breath and the movement to be mobile and not static. Despite our weaknesses, God includes us in his plan. From the height of his holiness, he descended into the baseness of this world to make an alliance with the human and give us access to the divine. Thus, he recommends us to be the light of the nations, so that the darkness which blinds many lives disappears. God sends us on a mission of service to open the eyes of the blind, to bring out of prison the captive, and from their dungeon those who dwell in darkness. This mission is still relevant today; it is lasting and non-negotiable. The human being is an instrument at the service of God to participate in exploding his glory. Jehovah is a God of revelation; having knowledge of the next day; it always announces upcoming events so that humans are notified. Excellent Friday and good entry into the weekend. Amen Alain Louz.-
