Topic: "The relationships of God's children with one another"
Text: 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
4. Love is patient, it is full of kindness; love does not envy; love does not boast, it is not puffed up with pride, 5. it does nothing unseemly, it does not seek its own, it is not provoked, it thinks no evil, 6. it does not rejoice in injustice, but rejoices with the truth; 7. it bears all things, it believes all things, it hopes all things, it endures all things. 8. Love never fails. Prophecies will cease, tongues will cease, knowledge will disappear.
Let us remember:
The basis of the relationships of God's children with one another remains charity. Charity is the love of one’s neighbor, it is the ability to love one’s neighbor as oneself. It is a Christian virtue. Charity is synonymous with benevolence, humanity, mercy, altruism. Charity consists of loving God with all our heart and loving our neighbor without preconceptions. To strengthen our relationships between us children of God, we must put an emphasis on love, charity. Charity is a unilateral action that expects nothing in return. It is the gift of oneself. Charity consists of giving: one’s heart, one’s life, one’s forgiveness, one’s interests… God loved the world, he gave his Son Jesus. Jesus loved the Church, his bride, so much that he offered himself so that she might be saved. Charity does not receive, it gives all the time. This is why it is said: “It is more blessed to give than to receive”. Our relationships are not good because we only like to receive; we give very little, or almost nothing. To beautify our relationships between the children of God, we must practice charity by giving our kindness, and not envy others, not boast, not be puffed up with pride. Let us say no to dishonesty, anger, suspicion, injustice. Let us love the truth, be understanding, full of faith, forgive easily, support one another. Excellent Saturday. Amen
