Topic: "The Relationships of God's Children with Each Other"
Text: Isaiah 58:7-11
7. Share your bread with the hungry, and bring the poor who have no shelter into your house; if you see a naked man, cover him, and do not turn away from your neighbor. 8. Then your light will break forth like the morning, and your healing will spring forth speedily; your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the LORD will follow you. 9. Then you will call, and the LORD will answer; you will cry, and he will say, Here I am! If you take away the yoke from among you, the threatening gesture and the abusive speech, 10. If you give your own food to the hungry, if you satisfy the needy soul, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your darkness will be like the noonday. 11. The Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in dry places, and strengthen your bones; you will be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water whose waters do not fail.
Let us remember:
When we talk about relationships between God's children, we enter the realm of interaction, good neighborliness, cohesion and communion. This is the whole of the relationships and links existing between God's children. If they frequent and communicate; how do they do it? It is a question of the way in which God's children are linked, or the way in which they behave towards each other. The relationships of God's children among themselves must be pure and healthy because at the center of them is Jesus Christ, the common Lord. When relationships are good, Jesus Christ secures and blesses them. God accompanies all good relationships and blesses their authors. In the relationships of God's children with each other, God blesses whoever shares his bread with the hungry. He does good to whoever brings the homeless poor into his house. God blesses the one who covers the naked. He loves the one who does not turn away from his fellow man. Love for one's neighbor must be the center of brotherly relationships between God's children. This is how our light will break forth like the dawn, and healing will sprout quickly; our righteousness will go before us, and the glory of the Lord will accompany us. This is the secret of blessing, it is the foundation of a fulfilled life. Loving God and our neighbor makes us richer than any work in this world. Let us have good relationships in order to live out God's promises. Excellent Monday. Amen
