Theme: “The Life of Daniel”
Text: Daniel 10:15-18
15. While he spoke these words to me, I looked towards the earth, and kept silent. 16. And, behold, one in the likeness of the sons of man touched my lips. I opened my mouth and spoke, and said to him who stood before me: My lord, the vision has filled me with fear, and I have lost all strength. 17. How can my lord's servant speak to my lord? Now my strength is failing me, and I have no more breath. 18. Then he who had the appearance of a man touched me again, and strengthened me.
Let's remember:
Daniel trusted God so much that in return God strengthened him. When Daniel lacked courage, the Lord sent his angel to give it to him. God had mobilized the heavenly army, to the point of sending Michael, one of the main leaders, to come to Daniel’s aid. Daniel's prayers had been answered by God since the day he prayed them, but the ruler of the kingdom of Persia had blocked them for twenty-one days. As Daniel did not know that God had already heard him, he continued his prayers, fasting, taking sackcloth and ashes. Daniel is a great Intercessor who was able to move the throne of God through his prayers. God dispatched his army to provide solutions to his prayers. Self-denial, devotion, love for one's homeland, faith, courage, life of prayer in a state of fasting while taking sackcloth and ashes... these are the characteristic features of Daniel's life. A strong humility characterized his life. Daniel let himself be led by God, he did not take control from God. He let himself be touched by God and received his instructions which he put into practice. Let us be Daniels, people well practiced in the work of God and who rely only on God to move forward and continue to stay alive. Have a great Saturday. Amen
