Theme: "The Christian, Salt of the Earth"

Text: Job 6:6-7

6. Can we eat what is bland and without salt? Is there any flavor in the white of an egg? 7. What I would not touch, That is my food, however disgusting it may be!

Let us remember:

It is difficult for the world to accept our message because we are bland, we have no flavor. The world has desalinated us; all the salt that God had put in us has been damaged because of our misconduct, because of our disobedience. Our salt has lost its flavor, we are no longer anything but Christians without salt. No one will consume our testimony because it becomes indigestible and therefore inedible. Sometimes, we wonder why our countries continue to shelter a very large number of pagans when there are several churches and they are always full? In the past, the behavior of a Christian could convert a pagan into a Christian. We are becoming so indigestible that no one pays attention to our God. Bad behavior by a single member of the church can affect an entire community. When the messenger is known to be cruel, a thief, insolent, hateful, adulterous, his entire message is immediately dismissed because his works follow him. If good works follow us, bad works also do the same. Our bad impact destroys our salt heritage to the point of discrediting God and his Church. Let us pull ourselves together; let us repent of our bad works so that our testimony becomes effective again. That is where we will find our lost flavor. Let us put the Word of God into practice in order to become salt of the earth again. Excellent Saturday. Amen
