Theme: “My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit”
Text: 2 Timothy 2:21
21. If a man therefore purify himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, prepared unto every good work.
Let us remember:
The glory of a vessel is that it serve his Master. There are vessels of vile use and vessels of honour. There are vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and earth. In our kitchen, we choose which vessel to use to serve our guests. Often, these are the best vessels that we take out only for special occasions. We also have clothes that we wear for great events. Likewise, God uses us in relation to the circumstances that present themselves to Him. Indeed, God does not seek people who are already holy because they do not exist or almost, but he wants us to sanctify ourselves at all times. Perpetually, let us give value to the Spirit of God who is in the temple, which we are. If we purify ourselves, we become vessels of honor. We must sanctify ourselves in order to continue to be at the table of the Lord. If we accumulate sins, we become like a dirty plate, impossible to serve at the table. We do not wear a dirty garment without having washed it. He who purifies himself will be a vessel of honor, sanctified, useful to the Lord God, prepared for every good work. Let us flee from youthful passions, let us seek justice, faith, charity, peace, with those who call on the Lord with a pure heart. Let us reject foolish and useless discussions, knowing that they give rise to quarrels. Let us take care of the temple. Excellent Saturday. Amen
