Theme: “Living in the light”
Text: 1 Thessalonians 5:4-9
4. But you, brothers, are not in darkness, that this day should overtake you like a thief; 5. you are all children of the light and children of the day. We are neither of the night nor of the darkness. 6. Let us therefore not sleep like others, but let us watch and be sober. 7. For those who sleep sleep at night, and those who get drunk get drunk at night. 8. But we who are of the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and having for our helmet the hope of salvation. 9. For God has not appointed us to wrath, but to salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,
Let's remember:
The Commando mission carried out by Jesus Christ, on the instructions of his Father, was intended to save humanity that the devil had conquered. Since the world is not destined for wrath, but for the acquisition of salvation, God has provided His help through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died to redeem everyone who would believe in Him. From then on, every Christian born of God was installed in the light. To protect us from darkness, God has given us his Word, which is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. From this moment on, we are no longer allowed to live in the darkness of sin. Our life is hidden in God, who no longer looks at us through the prism of our past errors; but rather through the filter of the blood shed on the cross by our precious Jesus. As a bonus, eternal life is reserved for us if we ever remain in the light. If we are found faithful and sanctified, we will never again be in darkness, for that day of salvation to overtake us like a thief. Every child of light is a child of the day; there is neither night nor darkness. Rather, it is he who illuminates the darkness and gives brightness to everything that is darkened around him. His intelligence is enlightened, his faith too, his words, his deeds and gestures, his charity, his language and even his gaze are illuminated by the light of God. Better still, his gaze illuminates everything in its path. Have a great Saturday. Amen
