Theme: “Living in the light”
Text: Ephesians 5:6-13
6. Let no one deceive you with vain speeches; for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of rebellion. 7. Therefore have no part with them. 8. Once you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk like children of light! 9. For the fruit of light consists of all goodness and righteousness and truth. 10. Examine what is pleasing to the Lord; 11. and take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather condemn them. 12. For it is shameful to tell what they do in secret; 13. But whatever is condemned is manifested by light, for whatever is manifested is light.
Let's remember:
The Lord rejects the blind concessions that we make just so as not to frustrate others. We tolerate sins, pagan attitudes, mockery, absurd and cruel reasoning, spiritual blunders in short every time we go in a direction contrary to the gospel of God, we make allegiance with darkness. God asks us to condemn all retrograde and immoral attitudes. We must repress vain speeches that could bring God's wrath upon us. Let us have no part with those who make such speeches. Let us not associate ourselves with them but condemn their initiatives. We are the light of the world, dispelling the darkness that is near and far from us. Let us shine light everywhere and if our light is not enough, let us ask our fellow believers to strengthen us. Let us walk like children of light. Always joyful, peaceful, friendly. We must distinguish ourselves by our faith, our sanctification and our good works. Let us maintain constant contact with our God so as not to fall into unnecessary compromises. Let us not extinguish our light or our discernment. Let's be rigorous in selecting what to do and what not to do. Let us condemn every error because by condemning something, we expose it to the light. Have a great Thursday. Amen
