Theme: “Let us thank the Lord for his blessings”
Text: Philippians 4:4-7
4. Rejoice in the Lord always; I repeat, rejoice. 5. Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is near. 6. Don't worry about anything; but in everything let your needs be made known to God by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving. 7. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Let's remember:
Humans find it difficult to rejoice when they go through the furnace. In fact, when you are in severe pain, it is almost inappropriate to rejoice. However, it is the best thing to do because at such times the prayers are often disjointed and very self-centered. It is difficult to ask God to accomplish his will when we are in a zone of turbulence. We often ask that the Lord God stop this painful phase so that life becomes peaceful again. Now, thanksgiving will easily attract God's attention because we will talk about things acquired or experienced; while worshiping God who accomplishes them. Instead of worrying, the Christian should give thanks to the Lord God. Instead of crying, we should thank the Lord God. Instead of panicking or becoming afraid, let's thank God; even for cases that are beyond our understanding, let us thank God. Let us rejoice in the Lord always; he who rejoices is close to thanking the Lord in the flow of his joy. Let us take all situations on the positive side, because it is God who creates in us to will and to do according to his good pleasure. He has control of times, circumstances and places. Let's not worry about anything; but in everything let us give thanks. So the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Excellent Sunday. Amen
