Theme: “Let us examine all things for the glory of God”
Text: Matthew 7:13-16
13. Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many there are who go in thereat. 14. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way that leads to life, and few there are who find it. 15. Beware of false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16. You will recognize them by their fruits. Do people gather grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?
Remember:
We have a duty to examine all things. It is not just about prophecies or the Word of God. We must examine even friendships, relationships, and acquaintances. There are dark relationships, frank friendships, satanic agreements, in short, each specificity comes with its corollary of challenges, consequences, and the finality necessarily depends on these factors. These are churches, families, projects... everything that unites us with our neighbor. God must be the nerve center of each connection. We must examine what challenge is posed on our path. Let us examine whether the road that lies before us is a road strewn with thorns or potholes. The height of it is that there are roads that seem peaceful, lively, ambient but that we must avoid, despite the attractions. The wide roads are the connections, activities, thoughts that are dangerous or perilous, that distance us from God. On the contrary, the narrow road is full of life, salvation, faithful servants, peace, eternal life. Its gate is narrow and subject to several restrictions related to obedience to the Word of God. If we examine that a gate is narrow, if the path is narrow and sparsely populated then we are on the right path, the one that leads to life. It is the path of faith, of sanctification, of the life of prayer. Excellent Wednesday. Amen
