Theme: “Let’s be generous”
Text: Hebrews 13:15-16
15. Through him let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise, that is, the fruit of lips confessing his name. 16. And do not forget goodness and liberality, for in such sacrifices God is pleased.
Let's remember:
Every day and always, we experience very great favors from God, which move us and take our breath away. So wonderful that the most immediate reflex is to say thank you. The reflexes are diverse and varied but all converge towards an action of thanks according to individual feelings. Some sing to say thank you, others pray, some shout with joy, some raise their hands to the sky. Sometimes we combine offerings and other liberalities to accompany our joy of being under the divine blessing. It is God through Jesus Christ who has caused us not to have a permanent city here on earth, so let us seek the one that is to come. Such a subject of joy deserves that we continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise, that is to say the fruit of lips which confess his name. Let our tongues be loosed and every heart unite with our lips offer a precious and powerful sacrifice of praise. Let us be generous and offer holy and pure sacrifices that denote great attachment to God. Being generous is a component of love. We become generous to complete an incomplete love. To love is to offer others what is most precious to us. He who loves his God or his neighbor can never forget beneficence and liberality, because it is in such sacrifices that God takes pleasure. Excellent Saturday. Amen
