God wants honest stewards

Theme: “God wants honest stewards Text: Genesis 39:1-6a

1. Joseph was brought down into Egypt; and Potiphar, Pharaoh's officer, chief of the guards, an Egyptian, bought him from the Ishmaelites who had brought him down there. 2. The LORD was with him, and prosperity accompanied him; he lived in the house of his master, the Egyptian. 3. His master saw that the LORD was with him, and that the LORD made everything he did prosper in his hand. 4. Joseph found favor in the eyes of his master, who employed him in his service, established him over his household, and entrusted to him all that he possessed. 5. As soon as Potiphar had made him ruler over his house and over all that he had, the LORD blessed the house of the Egyptian for Joseph's sake; and the blessing of the LORD was upon all that belonged to him, whether in the house or in the field. 6. He left all that belonged to him in the hands of Joseph, and he had no other care with him than to take his food.

Let's remember:

According to the dictionary, a steward is a person who is responsible for administering the house of a rich person. The steward's mission is to supervise the cook as well as the technical agents; it anticipates occasional human and material needs; he supervises and controls external service providers; he/she carries out the administrative and financial monitoring of events such as the placing, receipt and control of orders; he also tracks invoices. This is exactly the mission of Christians within society, including within the Church. The world belongs to God and we are only stewards of it under the supervision of the Eternal, sole owner of the universe. It is therefore God who qualifies us and makes us stewards for the accomplishment of various tasks. However, only stewards of integrity can bring joy to God and His people. To have integrity means to be of absolute probity, honesty, incorruptible. He is a person whose journey is always under the control of God. She does everything with God in order to avoid corruption. Let us surrender our lives to his grace so that he may accomplish us in good works, that he may make us honest stewards. Thus the Lord God will be with us as he was with Joseph, and prosperity will accompany us; we will dwell in the house of the Lord until the end of our days. If the Lord is with us, he will make everything we do prosper in our hands. Let us fight against corruption and dishonesty; let us be honest and we will be like Joseph; God will accept our stewardship. Have a great Monday. Amen Alain Louz.-
