Theme : " Divisions: source of weakening " Text : 1 Corinthians 1: 10-15
10. I urge you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to speak all one language, and not to have divisions among yourselves, but to be perfectly united in one spirit and in one feeling. 11. For, my brethren, I have heard about you, through the people of Chloe, that there are disputes among you. 12. I mean that each of you speaks thus: I, I am of Paul! and me from Apollos! and I from Cephas! and I, of Christ! 13. Is Christ Divided? Was Paul crucified for you, or was it in Paul's name that you were baptized? 14. I thank God that I did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius, 15. So that no one would say that you were baptized in my name.
Let us remember :
The Lord calls us to unity of language, spirit and feelings. Contradictions on points of view easily lead to division. But when there is a complicity even in the feelings / thoughts, it would not be possible for the devil to create a breach. If one starts a sentence, the other who is his accomplice should understand the rest of his argument because cohesion is installed among them. If we exercise the same mind, the same language and the same feeling; God will take over and set up an agreement that will endure. But if by our pride / malice, we create cracks, it will be the door open to the devil who will quickly come to take advantage of settling and destroying the cohesion of the past. Let’s not give the devil any chance, don’t give him a hand. Let us make room for unity and the division will crumble. Excellent Sunday. Amen Alain Louz.-
