Theme: “Christian obedience increases faith“
Text: 2 Corinthians 10:15-18
15 So we do not boast of the works of others which are beyond our bounds. But we have the hope, if your faith increases, to see our work grow even more among you, in our own field of action. 16 We will then be able to evangelize the regions beyond you without boasting of the work already done by others in their own field of action. 17 Let him who wants to be proud put his pride in the Lord. 18 For it is not he who commends himself who is approved, it is he whom the Lord commends.
Let's remember:
The impact of spiritual growth is only seen as members' faith increases. Faith only increases as we obey God. Stationary faith bears no distinctive fruit. She is standing still, she cannot cling to the divine promises because she does not have the capacity. Thus, communities in which the members do not follow strengthening courses, one often finds there the works of the flesh. There are very few people who come out of the rut to do exploits with Christ, because the foundations of faith do not grow; lack of obedience. The most convincing consequence is that the evangelical work will not take off, the activities will have an appearance in tint of spirituality but the substance will be carnal. It is obedience that is the basis of the growth of faith and, faith brings exploits; the faith that moves mountains. Hebrews 11:6. “But without faith it is impossible to please him; for he who draws near to God must believe that God exists, and that he is the rewarder of those who seek him”. God rewards those who seek him, those who are obedient. So those who obey go out to evangelize. Excellent Thursday. Amen Alain Louz.-
