Theme: “Young people, let your light shine before all men”
Text: John 8:12
12. Jesus spake unto them again, and said, I am the light of the world; whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.
Let's remember:
While it is daylight, each person takes advantage of the clarity of the sun to see their path better, so as not to trip. It is not possible to walk in broad daylight under the sun without seeing the path because the light is bright and the clarity is also intense. We cannot say that we see nothing when we walk in the light unless we suffer from an illness that restricts vision. It is the same with our walk with Jesus. Every young person who would like to follow Jesus must make sure to keep pace. It is incompatible to follow Jesus and live in sin. It can't be, as the Quebecers say. Jesus being the light of the world, the young person who loves Jesus must live according to his recommendations. He will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life. Even plants benefit from light and feed on it through the phenomenon of photosynthesis. Why should the young Christian not walk in the light, especially since he himself is the light? What does it mean to walk in light or walk in darkness? Light gives knowledge, it reveals hidden things, it guides and instructs, it emancipates and sets free, it gives salvation. As for darkness, it is life in sin, darkness blinds and leads to eternal perdition. Every young person who loves Jesus and obeys him becomes the light and his light enlightens all men. Excellent Friday and good start to the weekend. Amen
