Theme: “You will love your neighbor as yourself, even those who live with disabilities»

Text: Luke 13:13-14

13. And he laid his hands on her. Instantly she straightened up and glorified God. 14. But the ruler of the synagogue, indignant that Jesus had wrought this healing on a Sabbath day, said to the crowd, There are six days to work; come therefore to be healed on those days, and not on the Sabbath day.

Remember:

The handicap can be of demonic origin just as it can be a natural congenital malformation. But both can be healed by the power of Jesus. Therefore, let us not hesitate to pray for any visible or spiritual handicap that we notice in the life of our neighbour. Many people suffer from satanic oppression without our flinching. We provide assistance to people living with motor, spiritual, financial, social, professional disabilities… Our assistance can be spiritual or financial or even physical. We must not leave anyone unassisted. Even this world condemns the offense of failure to assist a person in danger. The Sabbath did not prevent Jesus from performing this miracle. We, too, do not allow ourselves to be disturbed by the vagaries of life. Even when a fierce opposition would rise in front of us; let us be imperturbable and even redouble our efforts and our courage by continuing to provide assistance to those who live with disabilities. Excellent Wednesday. Amen
