Theme: “We are set apart for God”
Text: 2 Corinthians 6:14-18
14. Do not put yourselves under a foreign yoke with the unbelievers. For what connection is there between righteousness and iniquity? or what do light and darkness have in common? 15. What agreement is there between Christ and Belial? or what part does the faithful have with the infidel? 16. What relationship does the temple of God have to idols? For we are the temple of the living God, as God said: I will dwell and walk among them; I will be their God, and they will be my people. 17. Therefore come out from among them, and be separate, says the Lord; Do not touch what is impure, And I will welcome you. 18. I will be a father to you, and you will be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty.
Let's remember:
There must be no cohabitation between darkness and light. However, light always overcomes darkness. Cohabitation is not possible because one prevails over the other. If there begins to be cronyism between light and darkness, then let us know that this light is not true light. It is a light that varies from time to time; it is an unstable light. This could be assimilated to a variation in voltage if not to load shedding. There must be no confusion in our lives; Let us avoid alternating between darkness and light. This would give us a half-fig, half-grape image, therefore a formless or mixed life. It is the appearance of a bat that has a deceptive shape. Although it is flying and protected by the League for the Protection of Birds (LPO), the bat is not a bird but a mammal. Why take on such a false identity if not to sow confusion? The human body is the temple of God but it must never be the seat of satan. It must never harbor the works of darkness. On the contrary, every child of God must sweep his life and always keep it clean because it is the temple of God, the seat of praise, of adoration, of contemplation, it is the dwelling of God. Our heart must be sheltered from darkness or risk sinking into eternal loss. To be set apart means to depart from darkness and take a stand in the light without confusion. It is accepting Jesus as Lord of your life and ceding total control to Him. Idolatry is darkness. Excellent Sunday. AmenAlain Louz.-
