Theme: “We are set apart for God”
Text: Romans 1:7
7. To all those in Rome who are beloved by God, called to be saints: grace and peace be given to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ!
Let's remember:
By the grace that God has granted to his servants the pastors, evangelists, prophets, deacons in short to all the workers of God including the laity, we have been called to follow Jesus Christ our Lord. This calling brought us back into the house of God to be set apart and consecrated to the holy priesthood. We become people of the house of God and workers with God. We have moved from pagan life to Christian faith; we now nourish a new hope of salvation in God through Jesus Christ our defender. Now that we are called to be saints: may grace and peace be given to us from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. A person set apart lives in peace because his master is a peacemaker. Jesus Christ is the giver of all peace and all excellent grace. He brings peace to all those he sets apart. We have reason to rejoice in Jesus Christ because we are possessors of salvation, peace, grace, joy... Nowhere else will we find these gains except in Jesus Christ, the King of Glory . If someone set apart has no peace, there are strong reasons to question their real or virtual position of being set apart. Note that tribulations, destitution and other difficulties are not criteria which characterize the lack of grace and peace. Grace and peace are intrinsic values deeply installed within each set apart; they do not fade by daily circumstances. Excellent Saturday. Amen
