Theme : " The Victorious Presence of Christ in His Church: Source of Our Assurance "
Text : John 16:29-33
29. His disciples said to him, Behold, now you speak openly, and you use no parables. 30. Now we know that you know all things, and need no one to ask you; therefore we believe that you came out of God. 31. Jesus answered them, You now believe. 32. Behold, the hour is coming, and it has already come, when you will be scattered each to his side, and when you will leave me alone; but I am not alone, for the Father is with me. 33. I have told you these things, so that you may have peace in me. You will have tribulations in the world; but take courage, I have conquered the world.
Let's remember:
The Church of Jesus Christ is plagued by troubles and other scandals which agitate and sometimes disperse its peaceful flock. Our assurance is sure, our Christ, the head of the Church has overcome the world. These troubles are only tribulations that the evil one sends to disturb the faith of the sons of God and delay access to their promises. Christ by his Holy Spirit now speaks openly, and uses no more parables. The Holy Word is proclaimed in all formats and in different media to the great displeasure of the evil one who is unearthed in his entrenchments. Even the occurrence of scandals does not move us because Christ had already warned us of all these schemes of the devil. Shame on those who play the devil's game, playing in his court and then coming back to God for the double game. They are unmasked because the Holy Spirit lays bare all their works. We pray that God will deliver them from this diabolical possession so that they may be won over to the integral cause of Christ. Our joy, our assurance comes from the fact that the Church is not alone, Christ has full control of it. Excellent Monday. Amen Alain Louz.-
