The righteous shall live by faith

Thursday March 14, 2024

Theme: “The righteous shall live by faith

Text: Galatians 3:6-11

6. As Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness, 7. recognize therefore that it is those who have faith who are the sons of Abraham. 8. Therefore the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, announced this good news in advance to Abraham: All nations will be blessed in you. 9. so that those who believe are blessed with Abraham the believer. 10. For as many as follow the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, Cursed is everyone who does not observe everything that is written in the book of the law, and does it. 11. And that no one is justified before God by the law is evident, since it is said, The righteous shall live by faith.

Let's remember:

The righteous will live by faith. It is not said: The righteous shall live by the law. Faith must relate to a savior; and the law is not one of them. It was in God that Abraham put his faith and not in the law. The law comes from God, we attest to it, but it is in God that we must put our faith. In reality, the law is not opposed to faith, the two are complementary. Whoever respects the law of God and understands the foundations of the love of God becomes able to exercise faith in God. The law will bring him to faith and he will live according to said faith. Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness. Likewise, if a pagan puts his faith in God, he becomes a son of Abraham and he will be justified by his faith. He then becomes righteous and he will live by faith. By this we recognize that it is those who have faith who are sons of Abraham. They live according to faith. In the past, we were called the Gentiles or the Nations or the Pagans. When we accepted the call of Jesus Christ, having accepted it, we were qualified in the lot of the sons of God. Thanks to our faith, we are among those who live by faith. Thus, what God said to Abraham was fulfilled, namely, “All nations will be blessed in you.” Today, many nations are populated by righteous people who live by faith. Have a great Thursday. Amen
