Theme: “The righteous shall live by faith”
Text: 1 Corinthians 6:9-11
9. Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the fornicators, nor the idolaters, nor the adulterers, 10. nor the effeminate, nor the sexually immoral, nor the thieves, nor the covetous, nor the drunkards, nor the revilers, nor the extortioners, will inherit the kingdom of God. 11. And this is what some of you were. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and by the Spirit of our God.
Let's remember:
The righteous will live by faith; the unjust will live through doubt, fear... Let us remain just so as not to shoot ourselves in the foot. If we leave the life of the righteous, we will no longer live by faith. We will now have a troubled and disoriented life. We will be far from the face of God and we will lose our advantages before God the Father. There are categories that we must refuse to join if we want to remain righteous and continue to live by faith. These are the fornicators, the idolaters, the adulterers, the effeminate, the infamous, the thieves, the covetous, the drunkards, the revilers, the extortioners and many other sins. Let us remember that we are saved by grace through faith. If we no longer live by faith, we will also lose salvation, we will no longer inherit the kingdom of God. Let us no longer look to our past life to try to covet it because we have gained nothing from it. Some of us were sinners and in God's time he overtook us to side with the righteous. We have been washed, sanctified, justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and by the Spirit of our God. We are now righteous, living by faith as our savior Jesus Christ wants. Let us hate sin because it distances us from God and makes us vulnerable before Satan. Sin prevents us from entering into God's plan; it prevents us from entering the kingdom of God. If sin is our companion, then we do not have stable faith; therefore we live according to the flesh and not by faith. Have a great Wednesday. Amen
