The righteous shall live by faith

Tuesday March 12, 2024

Theme: “The righteous shall live by faith

Text: Romans 1:16-17

16. For I am not ashamed of the gospel: it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first, then to the Greek, 17. because in it the righteousness of God is revealed through faith and for faith, as it is written: The righteous shall live by faith.

Let's remember:

He whom the Lord God justifies is no longer ashamed to preach the gospel. He becomes ipso facto the good messenger of God. The righteous are rather afraid when they are not working for the advancement of the kingdom of God. He gives himself without reservation to the work of God. He lives to honor his God. He loves his neighbor and brings him the good news. The gospel is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes. The righteous is a user of this Word, the power of God, he uses it at all times and puts it into practice. The righteous person is a friend of the Word of God, he is proud to announce it to his neighbor. The righteous person who lives by faith feels a strong desire to proclaim the gospel to those in darkness. If the righteous do not preach the gospel, the wrath of God will be revealed from heaven against him because he unjustly holds the truth captive. We must release the truth without keeping it captive through shame, fear, hesitation, doubt, ignorance but also voluntary refusal. Paul prides himself on carrying the gospel. We too, let us be proud to carry the gospel. How can we not rejoice when we know that the gospel is the power of God? How can we wear something that will deliver people and not be proud of it? Why be ashamed of the power of God? We have the source of salvation; why not show it off with pride in front of the world? Rather, let us rejoice instead of being ashamed of the gospel, for it is a saving power. Excellent Tuesday. Amen
