Theme: “The happiness that comes from meditating on the word of God” Text: Colossians 3:16
16. Let the word of Christ dwell among you richly; teach and admonish one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs in all wisdom, singing to God in your hearts by the inspiration of grace.
Let's remember:
If we succeed in making the Word of God dwell within us, through daily meditation, we will also succeed in rejecting all our former lusts: impure passions, avarice, anger, evil words, lies; for we will become new creatures and Christ will be our obsession. The happiness that comes from meditating on the Word of God is deep and vast because it clothes us with all the characteristics of the new life: compassion, kindness, humility, mutual support and forgiveness, charity and others. Let us build one another up through the Word of Christ and sing songs and hymns in our hearts. Let us not let the Word of God escape from our lives, on the contrary it must be present through daily meditation accompanied by songs. Luther said: “Let the Word of God abide in you, not like a guest who spends a day or two and then leaves; but like an inhabitant of the house who never leaves it. Let us therefore find a special place in the house of our heart to make the Word of God dwell there in order to meditate on it every day. The word of God is so precious, that we must always meditate on it. Let us cherish meditation on the word of God because it is the source of perfect happiness. Excellent last month of 2023.
