Theme: “The happiness that comes from meditating on the word of God”
Text: Psalms 119:129-130
129. Your precepts are admirable: So my soul observes them. 130. The revelation of your words enlightens, It gives intelligence to the simple.
Let's remember:
There is true happiness in meditating on the word of God. When it is seasoned with a moment of prayer, at the end, we feel a real peace in our spirit. If we take the time to contemplate the beauty of God's word, if we meditate on it and put it into practice, we will no longer have to worry about the disruptions of daily life. Instead, we will feel an inner happiness, which is not an illusion but the assurance of a soul which finds its resources in God and in his word. The precepts of God are very admirable, they bring happiness to the soul who observes them. There are several precepts according to each area of life but the precepts of God which are the description of his word, are the source of perfect happiness. The revelation contained in the word of God enlightens us, it gives intelligence to the simple, the humble who use it. It marks our path and warns us of potential dangers to come. It is a real joy to be warned about the devil's traps, then we can take steps to thwart them. Only the word of God can reveal them to us because “No creature is hidden from God, but everything is bare and open to the eyes of him to whom we must give account” Hebrews 4:13. If we want to achieve success and be very intelligent, let us always meditate on the word of God and our intelligence will be enlightened. Have a great Wednesday. Amen
