Text : Proverbs 22:7
7. The rich rules over the poor, And he who borrows is slave to him who lends.
Let's remember:
Debt is an instrument of domination for the lender. When we go into debt, it a tacit relationship of dominant and subjugated is created. One is in a position of strength and the other in a position of weakness. The link between the two is lending / borrowing. Even when the lender does not manifest this dominance, it is nevertheless underlying in the consciousness of the borrower. Especially if the lender is crooked, he can afford certain excesses which can humiliate the borrower. However, we forget that the lender, the borrower are only managers of the goods that God makes available. No one should claim any superiority or inferiority because the cycle of life can swing and reverse the trend. It is not good to blackmail your neighbour; especially when he is weak in appearance. Let's keep reason to save ourselves from ridicule and humiliation because life is full of surprises of all kinds. Let us avoid debts so as not to be slaves subject to the whims of the lender.
