Theme : “ The Christian and debts ”
Text : Deuteronomy 15:4-6
4. However, there shall be no needy among you, for the LORD will bless you in the land which the LORD your God will cause you to inherit, 5. provided only that you obey the voice of the LORD your God, carefully observing all these commandments which I am giving you today. 6. The LORD your God will bless you as he has spoken to you; you shall lend to many nations, and you shall not borrow; you will rule over many nations, and they will not rule over you.
Let's remember:
God does not receive assistance from any entity. Nothing and no one can help God. He is his own source of supply. In his love, he wants us to depend on him so that we lack nothing. With Him, we have everything but nothing, so it is not possible for us to be so destitute as to borrow goods and services. God's plan for His children is so wonderful that anyone who puts it into effect feels an unparalleled privilege. Debt is money that one person (debtor) owes another (creditor). It is also a duty imposed by an obligation contracted towards someone. Debt can be moral; it can be inherited when it was contracted by a deceased from whom we inherit. A child or a parent can also go into debt, and no longer be able to pay; bringing the debt back to his family. God wants us to be providers of goods and services to others. Let us first offer our heart as a sign of love for our neighbour. Do not expect anything in return; let's be generous and take no interest on our loans. Let us only be indebted to God the source of our provisions. Excellent Monday without debts. Amen Alain Louz.-
