Theme : " The birth of Jesus Christ "
Text : Luke 2: 1-5
1.At that time there appeared an edict from Caesar Augustus, ordering a census of the whole earth. 2. This first census took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria. 3. Everyone was going to register, each in their own town. 4. Joseph also went up out of Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, to come into Judea, to the city of David, called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and of the family of David, 5. in order to be register with Marie, his fiancée, who was pregnant.
Let us remember:
Every day, the Lord God issues an edict calling on each person to be inscribed in the book of life. It consists of leaving the lusts of the flesh to love the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22) and therefore sanctification (1 Thessalonians 4: 3). As Joseph obeying the edict of Caesar had gone to register in the city of David; we too, urge our own to go to the heavenly city where God awaits us. It is true that everything begins with the welcome that everyone should give to Jesus. Each heart must open to the grace of God to receive Jesus the liberator. Like Mary who carried the pregnancy, let each Christian bear the burden of making disciples of all nations. Joseph went up from Galilee, from the city of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David, called Bethlehem. We too are leaving the baseness of life and moving up to the life of holiness.
