The benefits of family worship

Wednesday May 4, 2022

Theme : “ The benefits of family worship Text : Acts 10:30-32

30. Cornelius said: Four days ago, at this hour, I was praying in my house at the ninth hour; and behold, a man dressed in a bright robe came before me, and said, 31. Cornelius, your prayer has been heard, and God has remembered your alms. 32. Send therefore to Joppa, and bring Simon, surnamed Peter; he is lodged in the house of Simon, currier, near the sea.

Let's remember:

Verses 30 to 32 referred to above show us the benefits of family worship. These are the rewards or the results of several years of hard work carried out by Corneille in favor of his house and his loved ones. Do not wait to see an angel appear before us when we do not know how to seek the face of God. God reveals himself to those who converse with him in personal or family intimacy. It is true that in his sovereignty he can appear even to those who do not pray. In verse 2, It is written, “This man (Cornelius) was pious and feared God, with all his household; he gave many alms to the people, and prayed to God continually. He involved his family in loving God. Again in verse 27, we say: "And conversing with him, he went in, and found many people gathered together." Note that Cornelius had invited his friends to listen to the Word of God that Peter would come to announce. A beautiful example of love for God and for his neighbour; besides that he always prayed with his family. Let's do the same in our turn; God could reveal himself to us through an angel (Hebrews 13:2). Excellent Wednesday. Amen Alain Louz.-
