Theme : “ The benefits of family worship ” Text : Joshua 24:14-15

14. Now fear the Lord, and serve him with integrity and faithfulness. Put away the gods that your fathers served across the river and in Egypt, and serve the Lord. 15. And if ye find it not good to serve the LORD, choose this day whom ye will serve, either the gods which your fathers served beyond the river, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land ye dwell. I and my household will serve the Lord.

Let's remember:

Our ancestors certainly made some mixtures in the way of serving God; by associating tradition with their faith. Of course, not all traditions should be banished except those which attribute divinity or protection to animals, tree bark, plants, bits of stone or statuettes, amulets, in short, all kinds of nauseating occult practices before the face of God. With the evolution of the Christian faith and the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit, let us make our choice clear and distance ourselves from any belief not based on Christ Jesus. Let's not waste time looking for another truth because the only truth remains Jesus Christ the Son of the living God. With the family, now let us fear the Lord, and serve him with integrity and faithfulness. Let's do disappear the gods that we can easily put around the loins, to carry around where we go; whereas it is God who must lead us everywhere. These gods that the faithful protect against water so that they do not get wet, instead of it being the god who protects the faithful. Let us teach our descendants and our contemporaries how to serve the Eternal with discipline because this is the true heritage, the true heritage to bequeath to ours. Excellent Tuesday.
