Theme : “ Stewardship in the Church ”
Text : Deuteronomy 8:17-18
17. Take care not to say in your heart: My strength and the might of my hand have acquired these riches for me. 18. Remember the LORD your God, for it is he who will give you strength to acquire them, in order to confirm, as he does today, his covenant which he swore to your fathers .
Let's remember:
It is the Lord who supplies all our healthy needs. Our efforts would not be enough to amass wealth and manage it, were it not for God's intervention. Some think it's luck, others attribute their wealth to personal efforts; still others say that it is my heritage… in short, whatever the origin of our goods, let us know that there is only one provider: the God of provision. It is God who touches the sensitivity of someone's heart so that we are given work or goods. Said thus, we understand that our goods come from God and that we are only stewards. We will know the imperative to manage well when we understand that there are people who have not received what God has given us. It is therefore an election that has fallen to us from the throne of God. Let us be careful to manage the divine provision well. Let's avoid stock shortages, waste, watch over the expiry date of perishable goods, share our goods with those in need. Prepare to be accountable for our stewardship. A steward is only a governor, an administrator who must answer for his management. Excellent Sunday. Amen Alain Louz.-
