Theme : “ Stewardship in the Church ”
Text : Luke 19:15-17
15. When he returned, having been invested with the royal authority, he summoned to him the servants to whom he had given the money, in order to know how each had made use of it. 16. The first came, and said, Lord, your mine yielded ten minas. 17. He said unto him, Well done, good servant; because you have been faithful in a few things, receive the government of ten cities.
Let's remember:
Every Christian is a steward in the service of God. The Lord has given us the responsibility of managing families, charisms or spiritual gifts, workers, groups in churches, finances… Everyone must know that God who established us will hold us accountable. A steward must be willing to account for his management. The notion of reporting must be a reflex to be developed. There are many who do not like to answer for their actions, hiding behind fallacious reasons. The irresponsibility of a steward can be observed when he excuses himself from general meetings or when he refuses to appear before controllers, auditors or other auditors. Let's have the same zeal for receiving, spending and accounting for our management. Let us respect the one who gave us the mission of stewardship; accept to go and give an account before him, without hiding anything. A good reward awaits good stewards; on the contrary, bad stewards will be punished. Excellent Tuesday. Amen Alain Louz.-
