Shout out for joy

Monday March 18, 2024

Theme: “Shout out for joy

Text: Isaiah 12:2-6

2. Behold, God is my deliverance; I will be confident, and will not fear; For the LORD, the LORD, is my strength and my praise; He's the one who saved me. 3. You will draw water with joy from the springs of salvation, 4. And you will say in that day: Praise the LORD, call on his name, declare his works among the peoples, remember the greatness of his name. 5. Give thanks to the LORD, for he has done wonderful things: let them be known throughout all the earth. 6. Shout for joy and gladness, you inhabitant of Zion! For great is the Holy One of Israel in your midst.

Let's remember:

This song of praise is sung when Israel returns to Canaan (millennium). It is a song of the redeemed parallel to that of Moses and Mary after crossing the Red Sea. Let us celebrate the Lord, let us shout for joy to our God. The Lord God is our deliverance; let us be full of confidence, and let us not fear; for the LORD is our strength and the subject of our praise; he is the one who saved us. Let us burst out with joy because Yahweh has done us good. He freed us, he conquered our enemies, he wiped away our tears, he now drinks us from the springs of salvation. The past times have been difficult; the people drank from the sources of war, slavery, deportation, famine, drought. We wandered like sheep without a shepherd. Today our shepherd invites us to the sources of salvation. Let us drink with joy because we draw salvation from the source. Let all people hear it and know that our God has helped us with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. Its greatness is clearly indisputable. He is a great King above all kings. Let us celebrate him because he is our King, the only King who takes care of his subjects while all the kings of this world are taken care of by their subjects. Let us shout for joy and joy, our God is great. Have a great Monday. Amen
