Theme: “Let us thank the Lord for his blessings”
Text: Ephesians 5:19-20
19. speak together in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and celebrating with all your heart the praises of the Lord; 20. Give thanks continually for all things to God the Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Let's remember:
Let us continually give thanks for all things to God the Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. It doesn't matter the method but let's do it continually. It’s not about giving thanks when you want to. It’s not about doing it when life is going well either. We are told to continually give thanks for all things (good or bad). In reality, a difficult situation experienced can hide a blessing to come. A red light at the intersection can prevent us from moving forward for a minute; but this lost minute may correspond to the exact moment when the devil wanted to trigger a trap in front of us, a few meters away. Had it not been for the red light, we would have fallen into the trap. Instead of worrying or getting angry while waiting for the red light, let's give thanks because we don't know what awaited us ahead. Let us fill our talks with intense thanksgiving to God. We can go there with psalms, with hymns, and with spiritual songs. We can do this by singing and celebrating the praises of the Lord with all our hearts. We can do it in free words without singing; it can happen in our heart without muttering words. In short, God searches the hearts and the kidneys, he sees everything. Hungry or full, well or poorly clad, unemployed or employed, in joy or in tears, married, engaged, divorced or single whatever our condition: let us continually give thanks in all things because God wills it. Excellent Friday and good start to the weekend. AmenAlain Louz.-
