Theme: “Let us test all things for the glory of God”
Text: 1 John 4:1-6
1. Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2. By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God. 3. And every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not of God; this is the spirit of the antichrist, of which you have heard that it is coming and is now already in the world. 4. You, little children, are of God and have overcome them, because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world. 5. They are of the world; therefore they speak according to the world, and the world listens to them. 6. We are of God; he who knows God listens to us; he who is not of God does not listen to us: this is how we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.
Let us remember:
Let us not believe in just any message that cites the name of God. Let us take the time to see the bases that form the basis of any interaction speaking of God. Let us not easily lend our ears to false servants of God. Let us broaden our beam of discernment to the least suspected things such as donations made through advertising. A Christian who makes donations by filming the beneficiaries or making advertising posters, we must doubt his charity because there is an underlying lack of humility. Likewise for those who speak of God but boast of the merit of performing miracles, this is the spirit of error. Several false prophets are already circulating in the world. The magicians and fetish priests have disappeared, not that they have all been evangelized, they have rather changed their mode of action by becoming false pastors, prophets, miracle workers. They will come in public to do all kinds of exhibition and manipulation under the pretext of serving God. Others make false confessions of their gloomy past while they are wolves who seek to infiltrate the field of God to wreak havoc. Only the Spirit who confesses Jesus Christ come in the flesh is of God; all the rest of the illusion sellers must be excluded for the glory of God. Likewise for the vague singers who bring back the things of the world within the Church, let us be careful that they do not win us over to them, let us convert them to Christ. Excellent month of September. Amen
